JANIE ADAMS ... Australian photographer & author

The Author was born in Sydney but raised on a property in western New South Wales where her love of wildlife took hold. After her schooling in the Southern Highlands and a business course, she commenced to travel overseas. Her first trip was to Africa where her love of elephants and wildlife generally developed along with her skills as a photographer.  A generation later her daughter now resides in Africa. Jane photographed the current series while visiting her daughter in Botswana and intends that profits will be used to extend the work of the group.

Tempe Adams lives in Kasane in northern Botswana, researching for the wildlife NGO 'Elephants Without Borders'. She  first came on a holiday to Africa with her mother when she was sixteen, a trip which ignited her ardent passion for  the African elephant. She is undertaking her PhD through Australia's University of New South Wales. Her work with Elephants Without Borders involves investigation of ways and means of allowing humans and elephants to co-exist without conflict.
